Sweet Sounds of Educational Success!

BlueNose Edutainment has provided an innovative way to teach 6-12 grade students reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. And like so many other educational products, it is absolutely FREE!

How? Students listen to and/or read song lyrics and interpret the song's meaning. They can then submit their own lyrics, song ideas, or song interpretations for prizes.

McDougal Littell, a subdivision of the Houghton Mifflin company, has provided corresponding standards-based lesson plans to help teachers develop their students' songwriting skills.

Teachers are free to involve students during class time, after school, or as an extra curricular assignment. There is no minimum or maximum class instructional time or number of students required to participate.
