America's Digital Schools 2008

The most recent research on the present condition and future evolution of digital schools in America points out several positive trends and an equal number of impediments.

On the plus side of the ledger:
1. One to One computing is on the rise.
2. Schools are standardizing the use of IWBs or Interactive Whiteboards.
3. Online assessments = Formative assessments

Obstacles to growth
1. E-rate funding is capped
2. Bandwith not comensurate with projected needs
3. Lack of Tech support
